Since I didn’t have a machine I spent my time cutting strips for the quilt. I have a lot of them! I cut up flannel pieces too for another version of this quilt.
The strips are all piled on my sewing desk since the machine wasn’t back yet. Now they are inside of drawers waiting to be sewn.
Wendell approved of my nice work.
And to make life even more fun fabric arrived from fabric.com with these fun treats. I think I shall follow the advice on them.

Thanks, I'm loving the new organization in my room and well you just have to have a cat if you sew and are a writer. :)
ReplyDeleteWow you have been busy with that rotary cutter.
ReplyDeleteKirsty, part of it was with a rotary cutter then I discovered the accucut, amazing tool!
ReplyDeleteI really like to sew and have gotten into machine embroidery, made 7 quilts last year with it, I ambroidied every block and then put it together with squares and strips, really pretty, can see them all on my facebook site. Look for edna Tollison

Wow! Your 'down' time's been used so well! It must be great to have your machine back :) K
ReplyDeleteI am always a little alarmed when I see such organised creating spaces...Or is that jealousy? Peta
ReplyDeleteKylie,
ReplyDeleteIt is great to have my machine home! :)
Peta,
um, it doesn't look like that any more! :) It's back to messy.
I struggle to keep my wardrobe that neat, but you can't go wrong with a feline assistant can you ?
ReplyDeleteFeline assistants should be mandatory in all dressing rooms. :)
